Been A While Since My Last Post....A Lot Has Happened~

Well, back in January all hell broke loose around Galleon when Mingus quit ffxi and I took over the shell, as well as his account, eventually giving the account over to an old friend that used to play named Majiek and remaking the linkshell into a new Galleon shell. Since then things have been going pretty well. We've been back to camping kings occasionally, even getting some decent drops from time to time. After maintenance back in March we managed to claim Fafnir and even get a Ridill, Congrats go out to Runnshoot on that:

Just got back from my mini-vacation to NYC with my aunt and grandmother. Was enjoyable for what it was, though wish I'd had more time to go see some of the museums and to experience some of the nightlife rather than just visiting some of the main tourist sites. Was a nice bit of destressing though, even if it was undone as soon as I stepped back into this stupid, stupid game. I don't know why I let the stupid actions of a person inside a stupid video game get to me, but I do.

I need a life. And a boyfriend.

Graduation + First Week of Work Done

Well...last night was my graduation ceremony from my school. Finally done with that now. Also yesterday was the end of my first official week of working as a Medical Assistant. Have been having so much fun and seeing so much cool stuff (as many of the members of both my HNMLS and my Dynamis LS know...since I like to describe some of the things I see just to gross them out lol). Also have finally started seeing someone again...first boyfriend of sorts since my engagement got broken off almost 2 years ago..

Finally starting to get my life back together and going in the direction that it should be. Has cut my playtime back significantly...but I guess that's not necessarily a bad thing...Just can't merit as much as I'd like to anymore.

I Hate POL

48 hours later and I still cannot get online.

I have downloaded the POL update (twice actually...i rebooted my entire system to before the update once and re-downloaded it).

When POL restarts (as it always does after an update) I get POL-1160. Network is busy, etc.

I have called tech support and they said that it's a traffic issue, and not my PC. But come on...it's been 48 hours since the update was available and I still can't get it?

Anyone have any suggestions? I have to be online tonight/tomorrow ;;

Just finished my first day as a Medical Assistant extern. Working in a dermatologist's office (that's seriously like 6 min from my apt). I had so much fun. Got to observe a surgery even. But my feet and my back are KILLING ME right now...need to find a way to better deal with being on my feet for 8 hours...not used to it ;;

So, I've finally decided to go back to school, after having left law school a year and a half ago. Going to be a medical assistant. It's a big step down I know...but I think I will enjoy it, and it will give me a step forward if I ever decide to go to medical school. But on the wierd side...my ex-fiance called me a few weeks ago saying he misses me and wants me back, etc. Not sure if I should believe or trust him at all, since he was the one who left me in the first place. But at the same time, I did plan on marrying him and actually wanted to. So confused right now. Just wish I could figure it all out. I'm tired of being single...just want to bypass the next 5 years or so and maybe I'll finally be happy by then.

So...those that know me well already know this, but yesterday I had lasik surgery done on my eyes. Though I went into and came out of the procedure scared shitless, for the first time in my life I can actually see when I wake up...Due to how bad my eyesight was, my eyes over corrected a bit, so got a bit before I'll be 100%...but god it feels great to not wake up to blurs.

MORE BLM STUFF
I suck at blm. I have no elemental merits (since I fully upgraded enfeebling merits). I have no elemental earring (I'm not paying 8 mil for 3 skill...and I don't think I'd be able to get ppl to do the enm til it drops and just let me have it). So in the world of HNMs...I'm really, really gimp on blm. But I'm asked to go to alot of stuff on blm lately (hence my 20k xp loss orz)...and I do however get lucky. Did Bahamut round 2 again recently. I do get fully resisted quite a bit...doing <100 dmg on T4 (/cry) and get half resists (what I'm told is the most normal) and do around 270. But I did get these 2 as well, both without elemental seal:

Kinda wish I'd get to go on smn a few times...would like to see what kinda dmg I could do since I do have full merits into smn. Did a 1996 Predator Claws on a disco ball...but didn't have fraps up...was my highest dmg yet (not including lolhmpedes).

I have been missing 2 pieces of gear for rdm for what seems like forever: nashira seraweels and that damn enfeebling cape from sea (that our ls has gotten 0 to drop of). Well last Ultima run our 2nd pair finally dropped, and:

Gilsellers Make for Great Entertainment

So, last night around midnight est, Gimya's group of gilsellers were gathered in KRT in Vrtra room, and attempted to kill. I got down there to see this:

Apparently they hadn't lasted long, or so I was told by another onlooker. So, after watching the take an hour to reraise, and everyone dieing multiple more times due to blood aggro, they then went again. Things were going badly, and they tried to train her on the onlookers:

Needless to say, the outcome wasn't so good. A whole 5 minutes after the time of engaging, this was the scene:

It was great late night entertainment to watch them and their apparently extremely unfounded ways of fighting.
